Your Right to Delete

Families should remain in control of their archive. If you no longer want your account or personal data retained by VIDHI, you may request deletion.

What Can Be Deleted

Depending on your request and account type, deletion may include:

• Your login account
• Profile information
• Family archive content associated with your account
• Uploaded photos, documents, and memory records you control
• Local browser-stored demo data when using reset tools

Shared Family Archives

If you participate in a shared family archive, some content may remain visible to other approved family members unless the custodian or all relevant members request removal.

VIDHI will help identify the appropriate custodian contact when a shared archive is involved.

How to Request Deletion

You can request deletion by:

• Using in-app account or reset options where available
• Contacting VIDHI support at +91 91759 42905
• Emailing or messaging through official VIDHI support channels with your account identifier

We may ask for reasonable verification to protect family archives from unauthorized deletion requests.

Local Demo Mode

If you are using VIDHI in local browser demo mode, you can clear stored data immediately by visiting /reset-app in the same browser.

Processing Time

Verified deletion requests are processed within a reasonable period, typically within 30 days, unless a longer period is required for security, backup, or legal reasons.

Some residual backup copies may persist for a limited time before being overwritten.

Legal Retention

VIDHI may retain limited information when required by law, fraud prevention, security investigation, or dispute resolution.

After Deletion

Deleted account data generally cannot be restored.

Families may create a new account later, but previously deleted archive content will not automatically return.
